Slightly crackpot. A good, fun underground Italian restaurant where parties can have a good no frills laugh and really good food for the prices charged I.e quite reasonable. Have always had a great time there and paulo is a great host. Enjoy it
Food here was great, we had a shared starter that was full of taste (octopus salad was definitely different but very tasty). Then had Italian sausage meat rissotto and a pizza (roughly 12") for mains. Both full of taste but couldn't finish them so took them home.
Restaurant itself has a upper and slightly lower level separated by small stairs, the lower level is where you can bring your dog in through the back entrance as well away from other diners.
Great service from the staff as well, I definitely be returning here
A little confusing as my other half thought he had booked a traditional, quaint, brick lined Italian so when we arrived and walked into this large space that was not remotely quaint was a bit of a surprise
Having committed to stay we ordered drinks, my other half ordered steak which we were told would be half an hour wait but it was a little longer than that.... However it was worth the wait as the food was sooo good!
I had the king prawn risotto it was so tasty and my partner reckons it was the best steak he'd eaten
The decor could be better... The chairs weren't that comfortable and the space lacked atmosphere, felt more like a canteen.... But the food and service were fab!!
